All Day Dining

Served daily in the bar, lounges and beer garden from 10am to 8pm, our all-day dining menu is full of comforting, home-cooked favourites. Tuck into freshly made pizzas, sandwiches, the filling Walker’s Board, hearty burgers, classic fish and chips, and simple, satisfying dishes perfect after a walk on the fells or a relaxed day in the valley.

The Place Fell Inn Bar

After a day on the hills, there’s nothing better than a refreshing pint and a friendly place to unwind.

The Place Fell Inn Bar serves a great selection of drinks, including draught ales, local specialities, spirits, wines and soft drinks. Everyone is welcome to join us, whether you’re staying at the hotel, passing through the valley, or meeting friends for a drink.

Dogs are welcome too, so muddy boots and wagging tails are all part of the atmosphere.

With stunning views and Place Fell rising in the distance, our beer garden is a lovely spot to pause, relax and take in the scenery.

Whether you’re enjoying a drink with friends, stopping for food with family, or taking a break with your dog, it’s the perfect place to rest awhile.

With popular walks such as Arnison Crag starting from the hotel, and the Coast to Coast route passing right by, we’re ideally placed for walkers looking for a welcome stop.

Food is served daily in the beer garden from 12pm to late.

Patterdale Pizzas

Enjoy freshly baked sourdough pizza topped with San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella and quality ingredients.

Dine in, relax in the beer garden or order to takeaway — perfect after a day exploring Ullswater and the fells.

Served daily from 7.30am to 9.30am, breakfast at The Patterdale Hotel is a hearty start to the day.

Packed Lunches

Heading out for the day? Our freshly made packed lunches are a popular choice with many of our residents.

Simply order your packed lunch the night before your walk, and it will be ready for you to collect in the morning. Please ask at reception for more information.
